Frome Community Bike Project is heading into 2024 with a calendar of workshops, activities and opportunities to buy, recycle or repair your bike, try out an e-bike for free and improve your cycling confidence.
Director Emma Parker said: “Frome Community Bike Project volunteers have been busy working on donated bikes to get them ready for a new home. You can view the current stock of finished bikes and buy online from our website shop, or pop down to our workshop at Station Approach. We’re currently open Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm and from March we’ll also be opening on Saturday mornings 9.30am -12.30pm. We’ll also be at the Frome Saturday Market outside the library on 16th March with a selection of bikes for sale and offering free advice and bike safety checks.”
“We are also offering a series of free activities through Cycle Together to build confidence and connections through cycling. You might want to borrow an ebike for free for four weeks, join a bike maintenance class to learn simple repairs, build confidence cycling on roads at a cycle training session or be part of a group ride to enjoy cycling through Frome’s beautiful countryside with a friendly group of people.”
Frome Community Bike Project is a not-for-profit bike recycling centre and community cycle hub. More information is at https://www.fromebikeproject.org/ and https://greenhealthyfuturefrome.org/.
