Hicks Gate Fire Station are set to host a chuck a duck competition, and give water safety advice to local people for a quacking good cause.
Hosted at The Riverside Inn, Saltford on Saturday 22 July from 11am until 2pm, local people should get ready for an exciting and feather-filled water safety fun day as Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) host its first ever chuck a duck competition in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
The water safety fun day aims to bring together residents of all ages for a day filled with festivities and good will, as well as giving all visitors important water safety advice and tips to stay safe around the water.
Firefighters from Hicks Gate Fire Station said: "We are thrilled to host the water safety fun day in Saltford, we hope it will be a fun-filled way to engage with our community, giving advice and raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity."
The event is not just about rubber ducks and friendly competition; it also serves as an opportunity for the local fire station to engage with the community and raise awareness about water safety.
