Sight Support West of England is your local charity working across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire to support people living with sight loss. Their Community Sight Loss team are available to help you adjust to living with sight loss, and to give you the support and tools you need to live your life the way you want to.

They offer support at monthly hubs across the region where you can receive information and guidance from their trained Sight Loss Advisors on living well with sight loss, remaining independent and getting the most from life. They also offer demonstration and training on a range of useful resources.

They welcome volunteers to help with the hubs, so if you have time to spare and would like to be a friendly face at one of their hubs, call or apply to [email protected].

Other services offered include social activities, technology training, a monthly e-newsletter, a twice-yearly magazine, an audio library, magnification advice and a befriending service for those who are isolated.

All their services are free of charge.

They also hold free Eye Can exhibitions each year where you can find lots of equipment, technology and service providers all under one roof.
