AN award-winning UK-based burger brand has announced plans to open a new restaurant in Bath early next year.
Known for their American-style barbecue food, The Beefy Boys recently secured fourth place at the World Food Championships in Indianapolis. The company has announced plans to open a new restaurant at 24 Milsom Street, Bath, next year.
The site, previously home to the Milsom Hotel and Loch Fyne restaurant, marks their latest expansion into a historic city centre location. The prime spot on Milsom Street will serve as the setting for The Beefy Boys’ menu, including their signature burgers, which earned two accolades at the 2023 National Burger Awards, including Best Burger.
The Beefy Boys began in 2011 as a backyard barbecue between four childhood friends: Anthony Murphy, Daniel Mayo-Evans, Christian Williams, and Lee Symonds. Since then, the brand has grown into a popular choice among food enthusiasts.
Known for their smashed patties and use of grass-fed Herefordshire beef, The Beefy Boys feature a menu that includes award-winning options such as the Beefy Boy Burger, topped with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, red onion, gherkin, Swiss cheese, and a signature sauce. Other offerings include the Oklahoma Onion Boy, with caramelised onions incorporated into the patty, and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Boy, combining savoury and sweet flavours.
Murf, one of the founding members of The Beefy Boys, said: “Bath is a beautiful city with a real buzz to it, and that was why it was our choice for the fourth restaurant. The location on Milsom Street is amazing as it is slap bang in the heart of the city. We can’t wait to get there and introduce the people of Bath to our brand of authentic dirty American-style burgers.”
In addition to expanding their collection of restaurants and World Championship adventures, The Beefy Boys also recently achieved another milestone with the release of their first cookbook, The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers. The book topped the Amazon Best Seller charts at #1 across all books during its release week – a testament to the popularity of their award-winning recipes and unique approach to burgers and barbecue food.
With an anticipated opening in the early months of 2025, The Beefy Boys’ Bath restaurant is set to bring their bold and flavour-packed menu to a whole new audience, creating a must-visit destination in one of the UK’s most picturesque cities.
