Bath All Starz Cheerleading, based in Peasedown St John, have been awarded the Grand Champions trophy at the Welsh Championships!

Talking to The Journal, they said: “This was our first competition of the season and we took four of our teams in total to South Wales. We were so grateful to the Peasedown Parish Council for donating £650 towards the cost of travel, which meant that all 60 cheerleaders were able to travel free to the Welsh Championships.

“All of our teams represented our area with great confidence, we could not have been prouder of their performances. In total we returned home with 2 firsts, 1 second and 1 third and our Open Level 3 team of 12 girls aged 17+ were awarded with Grand Champions! This means that they scored highest out of the whole competition. Not only was this an amazing achievement, we were then informed that we have received a Bid to compete in Florida, America in 2025!

“The sport ensures every single cheerleader plays an important role in the overall success of the team, the team work and the dedication these girls display for their love of the sport is one to be admired.

“This is our 20th year of cheerleading in Peasedown St John and we have kick started our season with a bang!
