DISCUSSIONS are to be held next week on a working group on flooding which was proposed by Cllr Lynne Easton at a Chew Valley Area Forum.

The meeting will be online via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, April 4, at 11.30 am and will allow people to find out more information about the working group and take part in the discussions.

It was hoped a visit to the Community Farm near Chew Magna could be arranged for the next Forum meeting in June, although the date may have to be moved from June 20 to June 25 to accommodate this. 

This will be confirmed soon, and in the meantime people should make a note of the proposed new date.

Local Plan Options consultation has also been extended by a week, allowing people further time to register their opinions on the options document, which will lead to the next stages in development of a new Local Plan for the district.

The Local Plan will be used to help determine planning applications until 2042, therefore it is important to give feedback at this stage.
