Residents in the Chew Valley are invited to share their views on what the priorities should be for the area at the next Area Forum meeting and AGM on September 27th.
Bath & North East Somerset Council will give an update on schemes in and around the Chew Valley and also want to hear people’s concerns and aspirations.
Ahead of the winter, the main theme of the meeting will be health and wellbeing. There will be an update from the 3 Valleys Health Primary Care Network, which will include information on vaccinations; the Chew Valley Village Agents will explain more about the services they provide and there will be an update on the Community Wellbeing Hub.
Keynsham Town Community Radio, which also broadcasts in the Chew Valley area, will present the Community Showcase.
The meeting is at 6.00pm on Wednesday, September 27th at The Library, Chew Valley School Chew Lane BS40 8QB.
The AGM Report for 2022/23 is available to read in advance. The Chair and Vice Chair, Heather Clewett and Lynne Easton, have volunteered to stand for another year.
Councillor Kevin Guy, Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for people in the Chew Valley to get together to discuss the public services that matter to you. This will probably be the last in-person get together before 2024, so I hope as many residents as possible will come along to hear from our speakers, ask questions and have your say.”
Councillor Heather Clewett, Chair of the Chew Valley Forum, said: “We are looking forward to our first in-person AGM since 2020 and hearing more from local people on what matters most to them. As the winter months approach, we also look forward to hearing more about the local health and wellbeing services available to those of us who live in rural communities.”
You can find more information and meeting dates for all the forums on the council website.
