Last week Chilcompton Golden hour club welcomed Goldies, Sing and Smile. Leader Mel arrived with words, music and plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Members thoroughly enjoyed joining in with popular songs including YMCA, Pretty Woman, Amarillo and Dancing Queen.

The charity was started locally in 2007 and now runs sessions nationwide to engage with the elderly and lonely, who can enjoy singing together and making friends. There is a Goldies event at Chilcompton Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of every month at 10.30am.
