Stuart Sheppard came to the Chilcompton Golden Hour meeting last week with songs and memories of how life used to be.
He reminded members of teddy bears, teddy boys, cigarettes and Ushers Ales. Aged eight he was sent to the pub for 10 Players for his father and told how Ushers drivers were given a pint or two at each pub, but seemed to make it safely back to the depot.
Members also recalled experiences of the heatwave of 1976. Stuart was thanked for an interesting and enjoyable evening.
Next month the Ragglers will be singing. Details from 01761 233142.
