Chilcompton Golden Hour: Stewart Sheppard cheered Chilcompton Golden Hour members up with his amusing stories of the 1950s and 1960s.

His memories were of the culture, ‘teddy boys’, their clothes and attitude and later mods and rockers looking for action on a night out!

All this was interspersed with pop music of the era; Perry Como, The Seekers and the lesser known Carrot Crunchers.

Stewart also brought along interesting antiques and collectables including trench art from 1917 and an early Polaroid camera. He was thanked for a very enjoyable evening.

The next meeting is on Tuesday 10th October, when there will be more tales from the Mendip Story Teller.
