A Church in Peasedown St John is determined to count the days down to Christmas this year with some online festive fun.
St John’s Church, like every other place of worship in the country, has had to restrict its public activities due to the pandemic. Revd Matthew Street, said: “The restrictions around social gatherings, collective worship and public engagement have meant that we’ve had to find new and innovative ways to share the Christian message with parishioners.
Whether it’s outside activities for children, or online prayer meetings, we’ve tried to tailor what we do to ensure that the Church’s work continues.
With uncertainty over what we’ll be able to do this Christmas time, we’re releasing new online films each day to help people get into the Christmas spirit.”
St John’s are producing 25 short films that will be broadcast on their Facebook page each day from December 1st. Topics include: How to make a Christmas Cake, Favourite children’s Christmas story? How to make a Christmas Card and Christmas Decoration, Top Tips for preparing a Christmas Meal and the Meaning of Christmas.
“Make sure you don’t miss out. Like our Facebook page to keep up-to-date with all the festive fun,” added Matthew. www.facebook.com/stjsgroup
