Chilcompton Golden Hour club’s annual general meeting was held last week. The figures showed a loss over the last year, but Entertainment Secretary David Rogers has secured speakers, bands and choirs for the coming year.

Alex, who is a member of the group, gave a talk about his days at Heathrow Airport back in the 1960s handling freight. He saw the inception of DHL, the parcel courier by three young students and loaded a huge bull on its way to Rio de Janeiro!

Next month, the Goldies are coming to join us for our meeting on the May 14.
