SINCE launching in May 2024, the Dorothy House Interactive Nature Trail has welcomed hundreds of visitors and was featured on Sky News Kids' FYI News program.

Filmed at the Hospice in Winsley, the segment follows 15-year-old Lucy, whose dad passed away in February 2023. She shares how the Hospice supported her family.

In the interview, 15-year-old presenter Tom talks about the importance of helping young people understand and cope with death and grief, and how nature can play a role in making death a natural part of life.

Wayne de Leeuw, Chief Executive of Dorothy House Hospice Care, said, "The Dorothy House Interactive Nature Trail is a physical representation of our vision of a society where death is a part of life. It's a wellbeing space where anyone who has experienced grief can reflect and find peace."

Located near the public footpaths from the Kennet and Avon Canal at Avoncliff or Limpley Stoke, the circular Nature Trail in Winsley is a great place to explore the diverse species in the grassland meadow.

With 50% of the trail completely accessible to wheelchair users and with on-site parking, the trail offers visitors an unique opportunity to connect with the wellbeing benefits of nature.
