A care home in Frome celebrated the summer in style with the local community.

Residents and team members at Care UK’s Rossetti House, on Welshmill Lane, were joined by the Mayor of Frome and his Lady Consort as well as the local community at their brand-new summer festival.

Festival goers were invited to dance along to Paul Kirtley, Jake McGregor, Sara Vian and The Strumble Bees, who performed a mix of singalong classics and original pieces, ensuring all ages were entertained.

The home also hosted craft workshops creating floral headbands, masks and face painting. Keen for everyone to get into the party spirit, the festival had a fancy dress contest, with Mel the beautiful butterfly winning the prize for best costume.

Visitors were also treated to a buffet feast, specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.

Phil Vale, General Manager at Rossetti House, said: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our summer festival where we had a fantastic afternoon hosting fun, family-friendly activities and would like to thank everyone who came along to celebrate with us.

“Our festival offered a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational interaction, as families, friends, and neighbours came together to enjoy the festivities. It was great to see the community come together, as well as showcase the vibrant and active lifestyle enjoyed by the residents at Rossetti House.

“We’re already planning our next summer event – see you soon!”
