Are you feeling left behind by technology? Do you have an iPad or smartphone that you would like to make better use of? Especially aimed at older learners, the Wellbeing Course Service is running free iPad and Smartphone courses in Midsomer Norton and Southdown in Bath.
Improve your wellbeing by meeting new people, keeping your brain active and learning skills to help you stay independent and connected. The emphasis is on enjoyment and the pace is relaxed, with time for a chat and refreshments in the break.
The iPad Beginners course is aimed at complete beginners or those who aren’t really sure what they are doing. It will help you gain confidence using your tablet and master basics such as connecting to Wi-Fi, finding things on the internet, using email and taking photos etc. The iPad Building Confidence course is designed to follow on, or for those who are already familiar with the basics of internet and email. The Smartphone Beginners course is for beginners with iPhones and Android smartphones, to help you get to grips your device. An Android tablet course is planned for later in the year.
You will need to bring your own tablet or smartphone that is set up and ready to use. To be eligible you need to live in B&NES or be registered with a GP that is in B&NES.
