Staff and residents at Barchester’s Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells celebrated Easter with arts and crafts, games with local nursery children, and a quiz with chocolate tasting.

Crandon Springs residents made Easter cards and decorations using scratch art and paint, while others had fun judging the care homes’ Easter Egg colouring competition for local nursery school children.

They were impressed with the entries and found it hard to choose the winners, but in the end decided first prize should go to Isabel (pictured), second prize to Harry (pictured), and third prize to Darcie – all from Rockers and Rollers Day Nursery in Wells.

Rockers and Rollers also visited Crandon Springs in the run up to Easter, brightening up everyone’s day as they took part in an energetic egg hunt in the lounge and garden, excitedly exchanging their finds for stickers from residents, before enjoying a singalong – creating a lovely moment of connection across generations.

Meg Cleal, general manager at Crandon Springs, said: “We provide a varied life enrichment programme for our residents, to ensure they keep active, healthy and well. Creative arts are fun no matter what age, and they are also a great way to relax, bring people together, and keep our minds active.

“When we have children taking part in our activities there’s always extra positive energy, which we enjoy and look forward to. Well done to our creative residents and thanks to all the children who took part in our colouring competition and visited our home”
