Wildlife walks, nature workshops and film screenings are among the events happening in Bath and North East Somerset as part of the Festival of Nature 2024, taking place from June 1-9.
Libraries will be running drop-in Nature Storytimes at Bath Central Library on Tuesday, June 4; Midsomer Norton Library on Wednesday, June 5; and Keynsham on Thursday, June 6. There will also be a nature trail which runs all week in the three libraries.
Summertime Crafting and Storytelling at Radstock Library on Tuesday, June 4, will feature a nature puppet crafting workshop followed by a children’s storytelling session in Radstock Community Orchard.
Events in Midsomer Norton include: Less Walk More Talk – a gentle foraging walk; Insect Collage workshop with Marian Hill; a Family Nature Walk and Sing-A-Ling Music Workshop.
A ‘Community Day’ on Sunday, June 9, will see events in multiple locations across the West of England to celebrate the actions for nature being taken at community level.
Somer Valley Rediscovered will be hosting a free Family Woodland Adventure in Waterside Valley with Steve England, inviting families of all ages to learn bushcraft skills including building a survival igloo and a campfire.
