The latest sponsor of this summer’s Peasedown Party in the Park festival has been announced.
Bath College, which has 1,400 courses available from entry to degree level, provides education and training to 10,000 learners across two campuses in Bath and North East Somerset annually.
Party in the Park festival managers, cllr Karen Walker and cllr Gavin Heathcote, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Bath College for their support for this year’s festival.
“It’s thanks to organisations like theirs that allow us to put on such a successful event every year. In total, we need over £6,000 to host the event, so every contribution helps.
“The support from Bath College means we are just that little bit closer to reaching our target.”
Bath College looks to provide innovative training to develop skills, inspire individuals enrich the wider community and encourage all to achieve and progress.
They have a particular strategic focus to ensure that the college builds strong links across the community and with local organisations like the Peasedown Community Trust, the charity that runs the Peasedown festival.
Shannon Smith is Bath College’s events coordinator and works within the business development department to support events like Party in the Park.
She said: “At Bath College we pride ourselves on being the natural choice of college for both students and employers. With many of our pupils and staff living locally, we wanted to show our support for the community by sponsoring Peasedown Party in the Park.
“The organisers do a great job every year to put on an event that everyone enjoys and remembers fondly. We’re looking forward to being a part of this year’s event and coming along on the day.”
