Local organisations have been nominated to represent the area in national tourism awards later this year.

No 1 Royal Crescent, in Bath, Mendip Basecamp and Searcys at the Pump Room have been named as national finalists and will be representing Bristol, Bath and Somerset at the VisitEngland Awards, which takes place at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on June 4.

They have been selected from more than 1,800 applications to become the final three nominations for recognition in three categories; the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year, Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year, and Taste of England.

The national awards has set out to highlight the best in England’s tourism industry for more than three decades.

The awards open for entries on April 7.
