The Beefy Boys have officially opened their new restaurant on Milsom Street in Bath.

The launch was celebrated with an event showcasing their signature cocktails, award-winning burgers, and renowned milkshakes.

Guests who attended the event would have enjoyed music from DJ Cheeba and samples from Somer Valley Brewery and Bristol Distilling Co.

The restaurant is housed in the former National Westminster bank building, most recently home to The Milsom Hotel and Restaurant, with the Grade II listed space blending historic grandeur with The Beefy Boys’ signature playful style.

The restaurant features 5.25-metre-high ceilings and marble columns, complemented by illustrations depicting The Beefy Boys’ history. Neon-lit phrases such as ‘Licence to Grill’ and ‘Smash Ya Patty’ contribute to the venue’s distinctive aesthetic.

The 90-cover restaurant is located on the corner of George Street and Milsom Street, featuring an open kitchen at the back where guests can observe food preparation.

The bar serves up a selection of cocktails, mocktails, ciders, spirits, and beers, including draught lager and IPA from the local Somer Valley Brewery, stored in aluminium beer tanks above the bar.

The Beefy Boys’ Bath restaurant offers dining throughout the day and will introduce a sheltered courtyard for outdoor seating later in the year.

Founded by four childhood friends in 2011, The Beefy Boys have gained a cult following since securing one of the top spots at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas in 2014. Since then they have opened four restaurants, the first in their hometown of Hereford, followed by Shrewsbury and Cheltenham – and now Bath.

Most recently, they returned to the prestigious World Food Championships in November 2024, finishing fourth in the world – so Bath diners can now experience one of the planets best burgers, right on their doorstep.
