Westfield Primary School pupils raised more than £500 for Children in Need by washing cars belong to staff and teachers on Friday, November 15.

The funds were boosted by a number of other activities as part of the school’ Westfield Values Champions scheme.

Alongside the car wash there was a ‘bring and buy’ stall, a cake sale and the chance to dress up in something spotty or as a superhero.

Westfield head teacher Simon Mills describes it as “a brilliant day” and that while the school has raised well over £500, “everybody there is secretly hoping that the final figure will break across the £600 barrier.”
