Held on the South Lawn against the stunning backdrop of the medieval Great Hall, specialist falconry firm, Raptorcare, will be entertaining crowds at The Bishop’s Palace in Wells on Saturday, September 7, with a day of fantastic flying displays, fascinating information and beautiful birds.

The displays are aimed at visitors of all ages and will illustrate how these birds would have been used in medieval times and why. Visitors will marvel at their skill and training as they show off their well-honed moves in front of the audience and in between displays, willing participants will also have the chance to handle some of the birds.

The 14 acres of gardens will be open and the Dragon’s Lair Play Area is the perfect place to exercise little legs – climb the Dragon’s Wings, explore the Tree Pods or crawl through the Dragon’s belly – the choice is yours!

The Bishop’s Table Café and Bishop’s Brew takeaway will also be open serving a range of drinks, snacks, lunches and hot food.

Medieval falconry is included with any standard admission; no additional event ticket needed. Displays at 12pm and 3pm.
