Saltford-based Flourish Foodhall & Kitchen has been voted as one of the best farm shops in the country at the 2023 Farm Shop & Deli Awards, as a finalist in the ‘South West’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ categories. This news comes just weeks after being announced as a finalist in the Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards 2023 as ‘New Butchery Business of the Year.’
Flourish was opened in the summer of 2021 by Paul Castle and Paul Hargreaves just between Bristol and Bath, with a focus on sustainability, stocking local produce and speciality food.
The farm shop sells locally produced meats from high welfare free-range farms, specialty cheeses, vegetarian delicacies, freshly baked bread, patisserie and is even opening a new takeaway toasted bagel bar in April. The Kitchen features a vibrant menu curated by Executive Chef Rosa Scott, serving brunch, salads, lunch and pizzas, all prepared with the freshest ingredients.

Along with a number of electric car charging points, the farm boasts solar powered energy, a rainwater harvesting system to flush the toilets, little to no plastic on fruit and veg and a whole host of other environmental initiatives.
