A RANGE Rover was destroyed by an accidental blaze in the Godney area at the weekend.

Fire crews were called to the scene of the incident at around 9pm on Saturday, August 24.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service log said: “Fire control received a call reporting a Range Rover on fire in the Godney area, a crew from Wells was immediately mobilised.

“Upon arrival, they confirmed that the vehicle was well alight, and an assistance message was received requesting a second fire engine - a crew from Glastonbury was mobilised.

Crews successfully extinguished the fire using compressed air foam supply, breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a thermal image camera. The cause of the fire was accidental.
