New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Somerset’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Nailsea Indian Cottage, at 53 High Street, Nailsea, Bristol North Somerset was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 21.

And King Street Mediterranean Grill, at Maple House, Winterstoke Road, Weston-Super-Mare was given a score of one on August 21.

It means that of North Somerset's 141 takeaways with ratings, 83 (59%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
