News just in: Timothy Schofield, from Bath, has been jailed for twelve years after a jury at Bristol Crown Court found him guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy.
Schofield appeared at Bristol Crown Court this morning (Friday, 19th May) where he was sentenced and jailed for twelve years.
The brother of TV's Philip Schofield was convicted in April of eleven sexual offences against a child over three years, between 2016 and 2019, including two offences of sexual activity with a child.
Formerly working for Avon and Somerset Police, and from Bath, Schofield denied performing sexual acts on the teenager but admitted to watching pornography with him, insisting he was over the age of 16 at the time.
Timothy Schofield must now sign as a sex offender for life and is barred from working with children and vulnerable adults.
More as it comes.
