POLICE are investigating the theft of Radstock’s Christmas Tree.

CCTV enquiries have been carried out and footage has captured two men who left the Waterloo Road area in a flatbed van.

Avon and Somerset Police said in a short statement: “The Christmas tree in Radstock town centre was cut down and stolen in the early hours of the December 25.

“We appreciate the theft has caused some upset in the local community and want to reassure the public that efforts to identify the suspects are ongoing.
