New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Somerset’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Taco Bell at Unit A6 Bridgwater Retail Park, The Leggar, Bridgwater; rated on January 20
• Rated 5: Take Two Coffee Shop at Unit 1, Chapel Street, Burnham-On-Sea; rated on January 17
• Rated 5: Saffron at 10 High Street, Cannington; rated on January 16
• Rated 5: McDonalds at The Clink, Bridgwater; rated on January 15
• Rated 5: FIKA Somerset at Chilton House, 25 Broadway, Chilton Polden; rated on January 9
• Rated 5: MJUZ at 42 St Mary Street, Bridgwater; rated on January 9
It means that of Somerset's 1,011 similar establishments with ratings, 847 (84%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
