New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Bath and North East Somerset’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Scallop Shell at 20 - 22 Monmouth Place, City Centre, Bath; rated on January 14

• Rated 5: Antica Pulteney Bridge at 5 Argyle Street, Bathwick, Bath; rated on January 13

• Rated 5: Boston Tea Party at The Boston Tea Party, 19 Kingsmead Square, City Centre, Bath; rated on January 10

It means that of Bath and North East Somerset's 397 similar establishments with ratings, 236 (59%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
