After more than half a century since first setting foot inside the imposing ‘Red-Brick Building on Norton Hill’, the enthusiasm of meeting up to reminisce about their schooldays led 35 people to gather recently at what has become an annual reunion of old pupils and former staff.

The venue was the Old Down Inn, Emborough, which has become their regular destination.

If you did attend, then you’ll certainly agree that the atmosphere conveyed through this photographic record was one of pleasure at recalling the ‘good, old days’ and looking back over our lives then and since, with the wisdom of age and experience.

On top of this, we hardly ever talk about our achievements, our health, or our families, which is the pre-conception of many who fear being bored and have therefore never come!

If you didn’t go along, there is another opportunity to meet up with old school colleagues next year at the Old Down, on Saturday, 29th September. For more details, contact Trevor Dury at: [email protected]
