On 13th February Bath MP Wera Hobhouse attended the launch of All Cycle Bath & West’s 2024 Tuesday Twilight sessions in Odd Down for an afternoon of cycling.
All Cycle Bath & West is a local charity dedicated to promoting cycling as a sustainable and inclusive form of transport. With a focus on providing a welcoming environment for people of all abilities, All Cycle Bath & West hopes to create a community where cycling is not only safe, but can also transcend barriers.
The Tuesday Twilight sessions provide a 1.5-kilometre enclosed circuit for people to unwind, relax and enjoy some exercise after a long day. Supplying a diverse range of rentable bikes, including a variety of those adapted for disabilities, the charity hopes to ensure accessibility for all individuals.
Wera Hobhouse, Bath MP, expressed her support for the initiative, stating, “I am thrilled to be part of All Cycle Bath & West’s Tuesday Twilight session. Cycling is not just a means of transport; it’s a community-building activity.
“Evenings like these remind me of the real joy of cycling, including its potential to promote a more inclusive and sustainable city.”
Chris Revill, Chair of Trustees of All Cycle Bath & West commented: “We were really fortunate to be able to welcome local MP Wera Hobhouse to help launch our first Tuesday Twilight sessions of 2024 at the Odd Down Cycle Circuit. It was great to have the opportunity to show Wera - herself a keen cyclist - how we enable many more people to enjoy the fun, freedom and fresh air of a cycle ride using our range of trikes and adapted bikes.
“We currently have open vacancies for those who would like to get involved. These cycle leader roles will enable us to reach out to a lot more children and adults who would otherwise face huge barriers to taking part in cycling.
Details of these two roles can be found on our website here: https://www.allcyclebathandwest.com/work-for-us”
