Clutton Horticultural Society has arranged an all day coach outing on Sunday, 4th June to North Devon.
The first garden will be Tapeley Park Gardens near Bideford, where there are terraces, woodland walks and a lake. Also in the park are highland cattle, including Larry, who originated from Dartmoor Prison!
The second visit is to Marwood Hill Garden near Barnstable. A twenty-acre private garden with three lakes set in a valley offers a peaceful atmosphere; it features a national collection of astilbes, while camellias and rhododendrons and other bright colours are much in evidence here.
After all of the walking, admiring or just sitting, we then travel to Marwood Church for a substantial cream tea!
The price covers entrance to both gardens and the cream tea. We leave Clutton and Temple Cloud at 8 a.m. to make the most of the day and should return before dusk.
Please contact Anne Thomason for more information on: 01761 452624 or to book your seat.
