Kip McGrath Midsomer Norton recently presented the winners of its Awesome Teacher 2024 competition where students and their families nominated their favourite.

Due to the large number of nominations received this year, the tutoring centre decided to award both a Primary and Secondary Teacher Award.

In a close competition with many wonderful teachers mentioned, the primary school winner was named as Miss Richards who teaches at Longvernal Primary School. Miss Richards was noted for her kindness and brilliant teaching, as well as stepping up to help ensure that the school was well-led during a period of staff absence.

The secondary school winner was presented this week to Mrs Bendrey from Somervale School. Mrs Bendrey was cited by her students as delivering inspirational teaching, at the same time as remaining approachable and keeping her sense of humour.

Sarah Richards, centre director at Kip McGrath Midsomer Norton, awarded the coveted Awesome Teacher Award trophy and a high street voucher to both teachers during school assemblies.

The children whose nominations were chosen as the winner also received a voucher prize.
