"Finding a bus now, that took in all previous routes, seems to have gone forever" A Hallatrow reader has said in a letter to The Journal.
Dear Editor,
Bus routes
Reading a letter in the Journal no.2192 about a seven hour trip to Bath and back, sounds like a lack of research. I would suggest boarding a Bristol bound 522, to get off by Keynsham New Inn, crossing the road for a Bath bound service via Saltford.
Finding a bus now, that took in all previous routes, seems to have gone forever. I was an occasional uder of the last 178 that terminated at Brislington Park and Ride. This has given me an idea of a similar service to Bath. Running from Radstock to Odd Down Park and Ride, every two hours. Taking in Clandown, Camerton, Meadgate and Tunley. Would be users could contact the various Parish Councils to gett his off the ground.
Our bus guru Dan Norris likes the idea of a new bus, rather than tinkering with an existing service. A bus the same size as the last 178 should be able to get through the section by the old Camerton school, as well as many chicanes.
I have a loaded gun, so it is up to those living along my suggested way to pull the trigger.
Yours sincerely,
John Higgins
