EMERGENCY services have set up a 100m cordon in a Somerset village after ‘potentially suspicious items’ were found at a property where fire broke out.

Police and fire crews descended on the centre of Timsbury after reports of a fire but bomb disposal teams were soon alerted after the discovery.

Due to the nature of the incident, residents have been evacuated to Congrye Hall and a man has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
