On the beautifully sunny afternoon of Friday, 27th May, children and grown-ups were invited to a traditional fish and chip picnic-style lunch on the school grounds.
To start the afternoon, the children sang the national anthem and ‘Swing Low’, followed by a costume parade where children dressed as iconic british figures. We had Mary Annings, Lewis Hamilton, David Bowie and even Isambard Kingdom Brunel in attendance!
When the fish and chip lunch had finished, children and grown-ups were treated to some traditional Maypole dancing and some delicious celebration cake made by Everything Sweet.
What a glorious celebration it was! Chrissie Richards
