The Mendip Swing Big Band raised £950 for the cancer unit at Bath’s Royal United Hospital where resident Teresa Hawkins received treatment over a seven-week period.

The band performed free of charge at the event held at Camerton Community Hall, with the community offering strong support through attendance and contributions.

The cheque presentation included Mike Taylor and Dr Emma, who provided care throughout Teresa’s treatment. Teresa expressed her gratitude to all those who attended, emphasising the event's importance in supporting the hospital’s cancer services.

The funds raised will go towards improving the care and resources available to patients receiving treatment at the hospital, ensuring continued support for those affected by cancer in the community.
