Eighteen trades unionists, delegates and supporters of Mendip Trades Union Council attended a special meeting in Radstock on Thursday 25 July to honour Chris Dando's long and distinguished contribution to the trade union and Labour movement in the South West.

Chris’ fellow Labour Councillors Robin Moss, Eleanor Jackson and Lesley Mansell were there to join in the celebrations, with Cllr Liz Hardman unable to attend.  The meeting also welcomed veteran Radstock socialist Terry Reakes, who Chris described as his mentor. 

For the first time, thanks to Unite delegate Fergus Brown, Mendip TUC were able to accommodate and welcome those who wished to join online via Zoom link.
