MHA Communities Mendip is hosting a fundraising event at the Somer Centre, Midsomer Norton on June 23 from 10.30am - 1.30pm.

MHA Mendip is a charity that supports local older people to live their later life well. The aim is to provide social opportunities, befriending, clubs, activities and outings to support people’s wellbeing within their communities and help to prevent isolation and loneliness.

People face many barriers to accessing our offer, for example, financial constraints and transport, and the group aims to break down those barriers by subsidising costs through fundraising, and each community scheme raises funds for their area.

On event day, there will be a raffle, pick a lolly, face painting, fancy dress, welly boot and book exchange, plus refreshments. The charity will be joined by Bella’s Jewellery, Just Face Painting, Pretty Baked, Bristol Water, Woodwork Shed and more incredible stall holders.

Rock Choir will perform at noon and ticket-holders are invited to sing the final song with the choir.

Raffle Prizes have been donated by Knees of Trowbridge, Lilley’s, Hobbs, local crafters, Arthur David, Entertainer, Physio Impulse, Elite Ladies Kickboxing and Mercy In Action.
