Midsomer Norton Illuminated Carnival, one of the biggest events of the year, lit up the streets and brought joy to all who witnessed the fantastical event.

The Carnival, which takes place every November, proved a huge success with dancers, singers and floats coming from far and wide to entertain the hundreds of people lining the streets.

This is not a rare sight for Midsomer Norton, having hosted the Carnival for 75 years, starting back in 1948! The Town has seen it all, from brightly dressed dancers twirling down the streets to artistic and inspiring floats impressing the residents and visitors year on year.

Residents and businesses in Midsomer Norton took to social media to share their photographs and videos of the impressive event:

Dragonfly Leisure, who hold dance lessons, took to Facebook to congratulate their dancers on an amazing performance: "Midsomer Norton Carnival 2023; we’re so proud of you, girls!!! WOW Well done to our amazing dancers, teachers, and supporters!"
