Christmas festivities will kick off early this December as the Midsomer Norton Community Band brings its very popular annual concert of seasonal music to Chilcompton’s Village Hall.
Booked for 6th December at 7 to 9pm, the event is open to all and entry tickets are free. Mulled wine and mince pies will set the seasonal tone whilst the musicians play a melody of Christmas tunes alongside popular foot-tapping favorites like All that Jazz; The Beach Boys classics, plus many more heart-warming hits.
All members of the public are welcome to come along. Free Tickets can be obtained from [email protected]. We hope the event will be enjoyed by all, so there will be a retiring donation bucket for those who wish to contribute to the band’s funds; plus there will also be a raffle.
“The MSN band is always looking for new members.” says Musical Director, Fiona Langley “We find that each year as students leave and go to University we lose one or two. We hope that anybody interested in joining us will come along and hear the band on the 6th.” Founder member Amanda Garland adds “The band is open to musicians of all ages qualified to Grade II and above – our member’s ages range from ten to seventy plus!”
