The Midsomer Norton Community Trust has developed a new website.

Realising the previous site was past its best and difficult to maintain, the new site is mobile-friendly, accessible, and was developed entirely through voluntary effort.

The new site has online calendars and dedicated pages for the various community spaces the Trust manages, such as Unit 14 and the Somer Centre.  There is a new contact form so people can make booking enquiries.

The Community Trust was set up by the town council in 2011 to manage the town’s buildings and run community events. Last year’s Christmas lights switch-on was organised by the Trust and the next big date in the calendar is the Midsomer Music and Arts Festival on the 1st June at the town park.

The 2023 Midsomer Festival with headliners The Entitled Sons was the biggest ever with an estimated 4,000 visitors during the day. This year will see fantastic local bands such as the Brass Junkies, Spaghetti Mountain and The Peccadilloes supported by acts from Norton Hill Rock Club and Bath City College. The Somer Valley Brewing Truck will make a first appearance too, providing locally produced beer on tap. The Midsomer Festival has a page for the latest festival news at: mnct.co.uk/midsomerfestival
