Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in North Somerset has welcomed the arrival of newborn Dorset lambs, marking the beginning of the lambing season.
Last year, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm named its lambs after sweets and chocolate, including Curly, Wurly, and Wispa. Continuing its annual naming tradition, the zoo has chosen a savoury theme this year, inspired by crisps.
Dorset lambs, renowned for their distinctive appearance with a white woolly coat and friendly demeanour, have arrived at Noah's Ark. This breed is celebrated for its adaptability to various climates and its high-quality, fine-textured wool. As the unmistakable signs of spring begin to unfold, these newborns bring the excitement of new life to the zoo.
As the lambs settle into their new surroundings, their arrival marks the start of a new season at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and see twin lambs Nik and Nak, along with the others in the farm barn. The zoo’s current Kids Go Free offer provides an opportunity for families to meet the newborns.
