North Somerset's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 12 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm August 16 to 5am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to junction 21 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 9pm August 20 to 6am August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 10pm August 23 to 5am August 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip road - carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion via M5, exit at, junction 20, turn and return to junction 19.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
