North Somerset's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 12 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 8pm March 24 to 6am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21, lane closure for signs maintenance.

• M5, from 8pm March 24 to 6am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip road closure for horticulture, diversion southbound to junction 20 and return.

• M5, from 9pm March 26 to 6am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to junction 21 lane closures for improvement/Upgrade scheme.

• M5, from 9pm March 26 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• M5, from 9pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 between exit and entry slip roads carriageway closure for carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

• M5, from 10pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closure, for improvement/Upgrade scheme, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22 and return northbound.

• M5, from 9pm March 28 to 6am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to junction 21 - lane closures for improvement/Upgrade scheme.

• M5, from 9pm March 28 to 6am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 entry slip road closure for carriageway repairs, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 21 and return.

• M5, from 8pm March 31 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 including slip roads, lane closure for signs maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm April 1 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20, lane closures for electrical works.

• M5, from 9pm April 2 to 6am April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21, lane closure for signs maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm April 3 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21, lane closure for signs maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
