North Somerset's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm August 20 to 6am August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for electrical works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.

M5, from 10pm August 23 to 5am August 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip road - carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion via M5, exit at, junction 20, turn and return to junction 19.

M5, from 9pm August 24 to 4am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to 21 lane closure for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
