North Somerset's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm January 8 to 6am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to junction 20, lane closures for electrical works.

M5, from 8pm January 9 to 6am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19, lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 9pm January 9 to 6am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19, lane closures for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm January 9 to 6am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to junction 20, lane closures for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm January 13 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closures for structure maintenance.

M5, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 exit and entry slips, lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
