Thanks to grants from Awards for All and The Sperring Charity, Westfield’s Norton Hill Recreation Ground has some bright, modern swings!

The first is a ‘you and me’ swing which allows an adult or older child to swing opposite a baby, creating a much more interactive experience. And the second is a hexagon of five swings facing each other, again for fun and interaction.

The Parish Council thanks Youth Connect South West and Fosse Way School for their valuable thoughts and insights which helped to determine which swings to install and secure the grant funding. We hope you enjoy the outcome.

Chair of the Parish Council, Geoff Fuller, said, “the new swings have given the play area a bright new look and we are grateful they have been installed in time for the spring. We hope they will be much used.”
