It has taken a very long time from inception, but Paulton Parish Council are at last delighted to announce that Paulton Library/Hub is now open for business.

The whole building has been redesigned to enable better use of the space, a new commercial kitchen has been fitted and appliances have been replaced.

When you visit you will see a newer, brighter, freshly decorated premises throughout with new furniture for both the library and the café. However, to enable social distancing we have not been able to place all the furniture, but as restrictions hopefully ease you will start to see more of the new furniture appearing.

We are delighted that due to our wonderful volunteers, we have been able to open the library every day, Monday – Friday. We are hoping to extend the opening hours in the near future.

Currently there is no browsing allowed but when restrictions are relaxed, the library will return to normal service and give our residents a great welcoming place to come.

The library will be open: Monday: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m and Tuesday to Friday: 10 a.m. – 12 noon.

The café has undergone extensive renovations enabling further seating for customers and our café tenant, Zoe Escott, along with her staff, have welcomed old and new customers to this extended space.

Although the café is restricted on numbers at the moment, the opening hours are not restricted by Covid-19 and therefore is open for six days of the week. So come along and enjoy items from the extensive menu, or just enjoy a drink and slice of cake - every taste is catered for! The café will be open: Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

If you could spare some time and would like to volunteer in the Library at the Hub please contact the Clerk, Carol Hall on: 01761 413644 or email: [email protected]
