Following a break of several years of a programme of talks to the Pensford Local History Group members, and several Extraordinary Meetings, the Pensford Local History Group has now put together three talks for their Winter 2022 programme, so please get these dates into your diaries.
We hope you will find the programme of interest as we need to generate as much interest and attendance as possible as well as boost membership which will in turn enable and secure the future of these talks.
Our normal venue is currently not available so we have changed the location.
Our first meeting in October will be hosted in our local Parish Church, All Saints’ in Publow. November and December’s will see us in Pensford Memorial Hall.
All meetings start 7:30pm and will last roughly an hour. Meetings cost £3 per person with refreshments included.
On Tuesday, 4th October, Paul Cooper will be explaining the History of All Saints’ Church, Publow, at the Church.
Monday, 7th November, Colin Budge will be talking all things mills, coals and glass, from Stanton Drew to Publow at Pensford Memorial Hall.
Monday, 5th December, Garry Atterton will address with his talk ‘Bedminster coal, Blood Sweat and Tears’ at Pensford Memorial Hall.
Both venues have parking available which is hugely beneficial. We look forward to welcoming back old members and seeing some new faces amongst us.
